Q: What can you offer magazine publishers that we can't get from someone else?

Minnick Web Services has been working with magazine publishers since 1996, and we have extensive experience and knowledge of how magazines work. Most of the publications we work with are trade publications (both paid and controlled circulation). With our extensive experience, we can help you increase traffic, increase ad sales, and develop new revenue streams in addition to keeping your site up-to-date, functional, and attractive.

Q: OK, I'm interested. What do I do now? How do I start?

1. Email or call us.
2. We'll ask you some questions about your needs, and then give you a time and cost estimate.
3. Once you agree to the estimate, we'll either get started right away or we'll e-mail you a questionnaire to fill out so that we can get more information about your needs before we do any work.
4. We'll get started! The process will be different depending on the requirements of the project (ePublishing, programming, design, maintenance, etc). We'll explain everything we're doing and communicate with you regularly as the project progresses to make sure we're on the right track and to get input and ideas from you.

Q: Do you offer Web site hosting?

Yes! We have our own high-performance Web servers, which are located at a secure data center about 10 blocks from our office in downtown Sacramento.

For certain types of projects, such as those requiring databases or e-commerce, we recommend that you host your site on our servers, as this gives us much more flexibility with regards to software and functionality options.

Q: I'm in New York. You're in Sacramento. How's that going to work?

We often work with clients who we've never met in person. Even with our clients in Sacramento, we've found that e-mail is often the preferred way to work. You can e-mail us files (and vice-versa), everyone has a written record of exactly what was asked for, and it's all so very modern. We're also big fans of the telephone and even the occasional Web conference.

Q: How much does a Web site cost?

Your business and your needs are unique. We don't believe in creating Web sites from templates. For this reason, we don't offer cookie-cutter Web site packages. Talk to us, and we're sure we can figure out a solution that works within your budget.
