Newsletter: March 17, 2009Incentive Program for Current Clients Refer an eBook to another line of business in your company or to an outside partner, and receive a 15% discount off of your next eBook with us. Please contact Dave Kalman at dkalman@terrella.com for Hello clients, partners and friends, Happy St. Patrick's Day! It's now mid-March, the days are longer and the trees are starting to flower. I'm feeling optimistic that the economy will turn around soon, and we'll start seeing some positive changes in the world. Here at MWS, we've been working on some new tools for our eBooks and even a new Digital Edition solution. Read on for more details. New Zooming and Sharing Features Launched In February, we launched a new enhancement to our eBook product, which we called "eBook 2.1" internally. This version introduces an innovative new toolbar to our eBooks. The toolbar's features allow for easy zooming and sharing with over forty of the most popular networking sites, including Facebook, MySpace, Digg and Google Bookmarks. The new toolbar will be included on all eBooks going forward, and can be seen on our most recent eBook for Penton Media, "Identity Resolution: Its Increasingly Important Role Inside Enterprise Data Management." New Mid-eBook Registration Form Also in February, we developed a new eBook option: a registration page in the middle of the eBook, which allows users to see the first few pages before registering. This is a great way to entice readers into reading the eBook before they are asked to share their contact information. Once they've read the first few pages, they'll need to register to read the rest. To see the mid-eBook registration in action, visit EverythingChannel's new eBook "Cisco Small Business: Network Attached Storage and Continuous Data Protection for Small Business." David Kalman Partners with MWS as Product Manager/ePublishing Terrella Media's David M. Kalman is now partnering with MWS as Product Manager/ePublishing. In this role, David will direct new business development for our eBook/eMag services. He will also contribute to our ePublishing product strategy. Our relationship with David goes way back. While publishing Intelligent Enterprise Magazine at Miller Freeman a decade ago, he was one of our first eBook customers. Since then, MWS has produced more than 500 eBooks and eMags for several publishers. To read more about our partnership, please see the recent news item on our web site. Digital Edition Solution Is On the Way Within the next few weeks, we'll be releasing a digital edition offering. Our solution addresses the readability issues from which many other digital edition formats suffer. On a typical desktop screen, the pages are legible and require minimal panning or zooming. To see a demo of our digital editions, contact David Kalman at dkalman@terrella.com or (650) 270-6712. In Search of Domain Name Riches Read Chris's latest article on InternetEvolution.com, in which he details his mission to redeem big bucks for the site names he's picked out over the years. I hope everything is going well for you, and I wish all the best to you and yours. - Margaret Minnick |
